U8s Impress at Annual Blitz

On a chilly Sunday morning in April, the Coolmine U8s participated in the Annual Old Belvedere Blitz. Old Belvedere's minis program runs on the same ethos as Coolmines - an opportunity for children between 6 - 12 who want to learn to play, develop skills, physical literacy and have FUN!

Coolmine were thrilled to be invited along again this year and played alongside teams from Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Longford.

Despite the cold morning, Mams, Dads and Coaches were all treated to a great display of teamwork, tackling and scoring. The coaches all agree that is great to see the progress of the team from the beginning of the season in such an enjoyable setting. These blitzes are a crucial part of any players development, its where they learn teamwork and sportsmanship. All the hard work the players and coaches have put in this season was truly on display on Sunday morning.

The lads were also treated a goody bag and a surprise photo opportunity with Gordan D'Arcy.
