U20s V Newbridge

The U20s opened their League campaign with a strong performance against visitors Newbridge.

We got off to a good start with the Forwards dominating and providing the Backs with quality running ball. Big carries and quick ruck ball allowed good interplay by all the players and enabled us to secure the Bonus Point early on. All the hard preseason work and the three previous friendly games was paying off.

A number of changes were made at half time and after a period of settlement we were up and running again. One of the most pleasing things of the day was that the skill and performance levels were maintained right to the end. A number of new and returning players scored which is now becoming a display of squad depth building.

The season is long and we therefore need to continue building, attracting more players and further raise our standards. Final Score U20's 74 - 5 Newbridge. Well done to all...... U20's Rising!
