Dr. Foley Cup Update

Dear Members,

With the decision to suspend the 2019/2020 season due to Covid-19 restrictions, Metro has decided to implement the Leinster Branch Competitions Committee decision to award cups to the two finalists, where the finals have been reached. As a result, Coolmine RFC 3rds and Railway Union RFC are deemed winners and have been jointly awarded the Dr. Foley Cup with each club to hold the cup for 6 months.

Railway Union RFC will hold the cup until the 31st Dec 2020 with Coolmine RFC holding it until the end of the 2020/2021 season. It is hoped that both clubs will receive a pennant in recognition of winning this cup. Congratulations to Bernard Nolan, Dan Sweeney and the Coolmine RFC 3rds squad on winning the Dr. Foley Cup which compliments their strong performance in the league.
